- 2 or 3 pork chops 1” thick or thicker.
Mix:
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
Sprinkle on both sides of the pork chops. Pierce with a fork on several places.
Let stand for a few minutes to let the seasoning get absorbed. About 30 minutes or so.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Heat 3 TBS. oil in a heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) until very hot. Sear the chops in batches if all won’t fit, 2 minutes on both sides. Transfer to a baking tray if all won’t fit in the skillet. Bake for 15 minutes or until no longer pink. Internal temperature should not be less than 145°F.
