Easy Pork Chops

As the title implies, this is a very easy dish to prepare.  Great on evenings when you come home tired from work.  It also does not take a lot of preparations and have very few ingredients and it takes a short time to cook.

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 4 pork chops 1/2” thick
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil

Lightly sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on both sides of the pork chops.  Heat less than 1 tablespoon oil or Olive oil in a deep skillet.  Brown the pork chops on both sides. Do in batches if they won’t fit one layer at once.  Transfer back in the skillet and pour the cream of mushroom on top and around the chops.  Swish or stir to distribute evenly.  Cover and simmer on med.-low heat for about 30 minutes loosening occasionally to avoid burning and sticking to the pan.  Flip occasionally. Don’t let it get dry.  Add a little more water if it gets too thick. Check if the chops are tender enough then serve.

This is good served or eaten over rice or noodles with a little gravy. Pair with some green salads, steamed broccoli, asparagus or sauteed green beans.
